VISION
ON
MAIN STREET ?

LOOKING BACK,
LOOKING FORWARD

LOOKING BOTH WAYS

As Americans, we have indulged ourselves in the "good times" and have forgotten the history of how our prosperity began.
There was a time, in the memory of some, when consuming was only part of the economic pie.
In addition to purchasing, the original American experience included two other integral components; produce and provide.
We made the goods, we bought from local merchants and worked and hired from within the community.

This cycle of events kept everyone working. Of course there was some problems, but in the scope of things always manageable.
Well, along came corporations, initially lauded for their enormous scope of commerce management.

In some ways it was a good idea. Minimize waste, cost and maximize profit. Initially quality and integrity and hiring our own were still on the table.

But something happened to break that durable self-sustaining chain.

Enter corporate, well how else can you put it...greed.

Although it has always been with us, it has now become the axis of our economy. The idea of maximizing profit became the only priority of corporations and all the rest little by little, year by year fell away.

The corporations have abandoned our work force and have exploited cheap labor from third world countries and no longer put their money back into our systems. has finally boomeranged its way back to America in the way of lowered wages and rising unemployment and a government that seems to be enabling it to happen.

We have got a very serious problem here. Whether you call it a troubled economy, a recession or a evolving depression it is here in a big way.

And to add to the problem the Supreme Court has essentially made them citizens with all the rights we have but for some reason gave them a pass on many responsibilities, like taxes.

Knowing this, the obvious question is what do we do now? We now know that EVERYTHING we do must be towards solving this problem.

Let's get started.
